BRAHMS’S CONCERTO AND DVOŘÁK’S SYMPHONY

550x550_Bramss_kvadr_NEW

An evening of classical, exquisite, and evocative compositions. In the first part, Brahms’s monumental Violin Concerto with its delicate, almost fragile slow movement, where the melody belongs to the oboe, according to ironical violinists. We are happy to welcome our outstanding Dutch guest Simone Lamsma to Riga, as her visit is anticipated by the world’s leading orchestras. The second part of the concert includes a symphonic super hit – Dvořák’s New World Symphony, a synthesis of Indian and Afro-American music impressions and the composer’s own impressions from living and working in New York.
