LNSO. BRAHMS AND BEETHOVENBRAHMS: THE COMPLETE SYMPHONIES

Bramss4_kvadr

Brahms cycle will be concluded with his Symphony No. 2 which contains the essence of soft sunshine, tenderness and tranquillity. Before that – Beethoven. In his Egmont the composer could show his admiration for Goethe and for Egmont’s self-sacrifi ce in the name of freedom for the people. In the Piano Concerto No. 1 we meet Beethoven as a still young man of mozartic inclinations who had recently left his hometown Bonn and arrived in the cit  of Vienna. He is joyful and not yet embittered, an improviser well received in the salons of aristocrats, a composer, inspired by his first success.
