Ultimate Classics. Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto

Two grand, substantial works. First up, we will hear an enormous hit performed by the pianist Anton Lyakhovsky, who is capable of reaching unheard-of depths in each composition he plays with vigour and mastery. Secondly, we will be treated to Tchaikovsky’s Manfred Symphony, which is less popular, but just as magnificent with its Alpine landscapes, hero of a romantic ghost story, and spirits and goblins – and the loss of a sweetheart, whose resurrection culminates with the main character experiencing a Bacchanalia and then, death.
