LNSO receives The Grand Music Award

In the splendid ceremony of The Grand Music Award which happened on the 7th of March, in the category “Concert of the Year 2016” Latvian National symphony orchestra received silver statuette for 90th Season Opening concert in The Great Guild with world famous Latvian conductor Mariss Jansons and Raimonds Pauls as a piano soloist.

 

The Grand Music Award is the supreme Latvian state award in music. In 1993, on the initiative of the then Minister of Culture, Raimonds Pauls, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia decided to mark each years major achievements in the concert life of our country with a special award.
