Georg Sarkisjan regularly performs with German orchestras and chamber ensembles as well as with the LNSO where he is the orchestra’s Concert Master since 2015 (Georg joined the LNSO in 2013). He hands on his experience as a violinist to young musicians at the Akademie für Musik am Rhein private music school that he founded together with like-minded musicians. Georg’s recital,featuring suites and sonatas by Bach, Hindemith and Honegger, led up to a nomination for the Latvian Grand Music Award 2016 for outstanding performance in chamber music.
The high quality education that Georg received in Düsseldorf was enriched by youth orchestra projects. Georg has performed with exceptional conductors like Iván Fischer, Ingo Metzmacher, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Anu Tali a.o. As a soloist he has performed most of the classical repertoire for the violin. As a chamber musician, Georg made his debut at the Young Stars concert cycle in 2010 at the Beethovenhalle in Bonn.
The violinist started his musical education at the Emīls Dārziņš Music High School. He continued to hone his musical prowess with Ida Bieler at the Robert Schumann Düsseldorf Academy of Music with whom he recorded an album of newly discovered pieces for two violins by Hindemith, receiving high praise from music critics. Georg has received many prizes at international completions.
